s originally from California and he has been able to obtain some history on the car. It sat in a field outside Sacramento, CA from 1982 until 1997 with it's original 390 in pieces in the trunk and a service replacement engine (69/69 short deck block with 7/16 head bolts and rectangular port heads) installed in it's place. It was purchased and taken to Oregon and restored but due to a divorce in 2000 the owner was forced to sell it to a couple in Winsor, also in Oregon. They did not do much with the car, using it mostly to give rides to their grandchildren. But sometime in 2007 with their business in decline, they sold the AMX to Mike Daly in Massachusetts where he refurbished it sold it to Ron in 2008. Ron then obtained a 1970 390 block from Dan Curtis at AZ AMC Partz and built the current engine himself. It is bored .030, has a 1972 401 crank, forged 28cc Speed Pro 401 pistons, and 58cc 1977 502-2 dog leg heads with hardened valve seats that have been converted to stud mounted rockers. It has a close ratio T-10 4 speed transmission with a factory installed 3.91 Twin Grip rear end.

article in Hemmings Classic Cars May, 2009 issue.
While Geneva Puras's Pacer is undergoing a mild restoration by Jeff
This the only picture we have at this time, updates will be coming soon.
